Advanced Search
Use advanced search to search through specific fields. Activate multiple rows to search for multiple criteria.
The first column contains a list of searchable fields. First, select the field you want to search, e.g. Title, Artist, etc. The second column will then show conditions such as "is", "contains", "begins with". Choose the most appropriate condition - e.g. "is" will only return results with an exact phrase, but "contains" will return any results that include the terms entered. The third column will show a space to enter text (or other options depending on your selected field).
To add another field to search through, select a second field in the next row and fill in the appropriate options. When you are finished, click the submit button to view search results. If you do not get any search results, you may have to broaden your criteria.
To search within the Keystone-Mast Collection, select “accession number” “contains” and input “1996.0009” (without the quotation marks). To search within the Ansel Adams Fiat Lux Collection, select “accession number” “contains” and input “1987.0027” (without the quotation marks). If you would like help with your advanced search, please email the Curator of Collections, cmpcollections@ucr.edu.
